The two units that we hunt, Unit 51 and 52, can be described as follows: Unit 51 is located directly below Unit 52 in North Central New Mexico and is approximately 380,000 acres (594 square miles). This unit allows the use of four wheelers on any designated road or for the retrieval of harvested game within the majority of the unit. The selected State hunt unit or game management unit boundary is overlaid on the BLM base.
